The lawyer for Pakistani actress Veena Malik says she is suing an Indian men's magazine for publishing photos she says were doctored to make her appear nude.

Malik's racy photo shoot in the December issue of FHM India has triggered a fury across her conservative country.

Lawyer Ayaz Bilawala said Monday he had sent notice to the magazine demanding it withdraw all copies from the newsstand and seeking millions of dollars in damages.

Magazine editor Kabeer Sharma said the photographs were authentic and he had a video of the shoot to prove it.
